Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Fintiri has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to providing free, quality education.
The governor urged parents and guardians to take advantage of this opportunity by enrolling their children in public schools.
Speaking at the inauguration of a scholarship scheme and empowerment project in Song local government area, Fintiri highlighted the significant improvements made in public schools across the state. These improvements include the construction of new classrooms, laboratories, and libraries, as well as the provision of equipment, books, free transportation, and feeding programs.
The governor’s administration aims to ensure that no child in Adamawa State is deprived of education at any level. The Deputy Governor, representing Fintiri at the ceremony, emphasized the importance of education for girls and urged them to complete their studies before getting married.
Idris Yahaya, the chairman of Song local government area, encouraged parents to register their children in nearby public schools and monitor their academic and moral development. He also pledged to continue supporting education initiatives in the area.
The scholarship scheme and empowerment project launched at the event provided financial assistance to 40 students admitted into federal government colleges and 360 beneficiaries from various groups, including the elderly, youth, and women.
