Former APC National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, announced his exit from active politics, citing a growing allergy to political activities. Having traversed the political landscape since 1999, Adamu, a seasoned political figure, expressed the need for respite. His political journey includes roles as a federal permsec, minister, governor, and APC National Chairman.

Truth Live News gathered he made this revelation during the presentation and launch of a book, ‘Progressive Governance: Showcasing the Achievements of Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State 2019 – 2023′, by Abdullahi Tanimu. Adamu, who served as the first civilian governor of Nasarawa State, praised the author for encapsulating the governor’s accomplishments in the 230-page, 23-chapter book.

Acknowledging Governor Sule’s efforts in building upon his predecessors’ achievements, Adamu urged residents to support and pray for the current administration. Emphasizing his retirement from politics, he stated, “I am not only a retiree but I am out of politics. I’m beginning to develop little allergies for political activities now and political speeches.” Adamu refrained from making political statements, redirecting the focus to endorsing the governor and requesting continued support.

In a symbolic gesture, Adamu pledged to launch 20 copies of the book, contributing one million naira to encourage the author’s commendable work. This act marked both a recognition of the governor’s accomplishments and a personal disengagement from the political arena.
