Renown Catholic priest, Reverend Father Kelvin Ugwu has lambasted the General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministry, Apostle Johnson Suleiman over his statement after a failed assassination attack on his life yesterday.
Fr. Ugwu who reacted to the comment by the clergyman in a lengthy Facebook post said, “I had “always said it here, when giving testimonies, be sensitive. Don’t use other people’s misfortune to elevate your own story.”
Recall that Truthlive.net had reported earlier that Apostle Suleiman’s convoy was attacked yesterday by unknown gunmen who killed seven persons on his entourage but he and members of his family had escaped unhurt in his bullet proof car.
Following the incident, the apostle had prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased who fell victims of the unfortunate incident.
He noted with dismay that some persons have been after his life since 2017 but that he is a man of God, his life is in God’s hands and cannot be killed.
However, Reacting to Suleiman’s testimony which obviously did not go well with him Fr. Ugwu wrote: “in their bid to assassinate you, seven persons were killed and you are like “my life is in the hands of God, nobody can kill me.”
“Well, I will not thank God that you survived the assassination, I will rather thank God that you admitted to knowing those that were behind the assassination and shooting.”
The Reverend Father called on the police and the government to take it up from there. The lives of those seven persons matter so much. The minister’s life is not more valuable than theirs. A full investigation should be opened immediately until those behind the shooting are arrested and giving what they deserve by law.
Also, he caution those working closely with the minister to “take necessary precaution because it seems he knows somethings that are capable of putting you at risk, which you may not be aware of.”
Meanwhile, Omega fire Apostle had blasted the Police for killing the only suspect arrested during the attack thus erasing any possible way of apprehending the attackers.
He accused the police of trying to cover up the assailants.
