In recognition of his exceptional achievements, Governor Fubara further nominated the goalkeeper for the Distinguished Service Star of Rivers State (DSSRS), a prestigious state award reserved for individuals who have demonstrated excellence in their respective fields.

This accolade is the second-highest honor bestowed upon distinguished individuals, including high-profile politicians, serving and former governors.
