FUDMA VC Lauds Lecturer For Clinching Scholarship To Italy, Vows To Uphold Initiatives

The Vice Chancellor, Federal University Dutsin-Ma, Professor Armayau Hamisu Bichi has felicitate with a Lecturer of the University, Adesoji Ayodele Timilehin (Department of Microbiology) for coming out victorious in the 12 weeks scholarship to prestigious University Di Pavia, Lombardy, Italy under the Committee for International Cooperation and Development CICOPS.

In a statement made available to the press by the University’s Public Relation Officer, Habibu Umar Aminu, it reads that:

“Adesoji is among the 5 selected out of the 31 global academicians that applied and went through the rigorous selection exercise to emerged successful for the year 2023 edition of the scholarship.

“Adesoji, has since extended his appreciation to the Vice Chancellor of Federal University Dutsin-Ma Prof. Armayau Hamisu Bichi for his untiring support and provision of enabling environment for all to aspire and actualise their dreams.

“The Vice Chancellor Prof. Bichi while congratulating the staff, assured him of continuous support not to him alone but the entire staff and students to achieved their potentials.

“The University of Pavia and EDiSU (Institute of the Right to University Studies) In order to promote international cooperation, particularly with Developing Countries, provides every year 10 scholarships to visiting scholars for a period of stay of 4 to 12 weeks at the University of Pavia, to carry out research with professors in their host departments and often hold seminars.

“Since 1996, under the CICOPS, the university has been offering about ten scholarships annually to junior and senior academicians for a period of stay from 1 to 3 months. As of 2019, 230 scholarships have been awarded to academics from 60 different countries to carry out research in Pavia”.
