FUDMA Wins N32 Million South African Research Grant

Federal University Dutsin-Ma (FUDMA) has emerged one of the beneficiary of N32 million research grant from the National Research Foundation, Pretoria, South Africa.

Confirming the development via a press statement, the University’s Public Relations Officer, Habibu Umar Aminu, noted that the grant is meant for “Transdisciplinary Research for Pathways to Sustainability Collaborate Research Action”.

The statement acknowledged the National Research Foundation (NRF), as one of the South African government agency established to promote development through innovative research funding, provide resourceful support for human development across different endeavors.

On his part, the university’s Director of Research and Development, Dr. Muhammad Ghazali Garba, disclosed that the grant will enable FUDMA to partner other research driven agencies to improve level of scientific and technological innovation. He also emphasized that the university management is ready to see to the judicious utilization of the grant for its primary purpose.

In a congratulatory remark the Vice Chancellor Federal University Dutsin-Ma, Professor Armaya’u Hamisu Bichi applauded the university community for working tirelessly to attain such feet, and also pledged that his leadership will continue to support staff, students and the entire university to keep the winning spirit alive.

Professor Bichi equally saluted the university’s Director of Research and Development, Dr. Muhammad Ghazali Garba, for putting a tremendous effort towards securing the grant, as well as placing the university’s name on a global scale.
