The youths of Ishibori community, Ogoja LGA, Cross River State, have expressed their dismay over current price increase in Motor Premium Spirit (PMS) by sealing up filling stations.
They made their feeling known when they went out in demonstration on Wednesday to sealed some of these filling stations located within the area.
In a one minute three seconds video footage made available to Truth Live News, the youth who said that their people are suffering were seeing sealing fuel stations with palm fronds.
In addition to petrol price hike, the youths also noted that there is no electricity (light) in the area. Yet, the fuel price is increasing by the day.
“Filing stations in Ogoja cannot sell fuel again, because they are sealed.
“We are putting injunction in all the filling stations because there has been hike in the price of fuel.
“People are suffering, there’s no light, the fuel price is increasing by the day.
“People are stranded, the youths are not happy. The filling stations must remain closed until the price come down. Ishibori youths said.
They said that the peaceful demonstration is to ensure that the fuel price is reduced to affordable price.
Ishibori community is in Cross River Northern Senatorial District, south south region of Nigeria,. It is in the present Ogoja LGA of the state.
