The Vice President Kashim Shettima has thrown weight behind the planned fuel subsidy removal by the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Shettima gave his support for the move during his inaugural address on Monday.
Recall that Tinubu declared an end to the era of subsidy payment, saying the 2023 budget made no provision for fuel subsidy, so further payment was no longer justifiable.
Shortly after his inauguration, Tinubu said, “The fuel subsidy is gone.”
Shettima while lauding the decision by his principal said it shows his commitment to better the lives of Nigerians.
