Legendary Ghanaian footballer, Asamoah Gyan has been ordered by the court to pay compensation to his ex-wife, Gifty Gyan, after it was determined that he is the biological father of their three children.
The Former Premier League striker and his ex-wife have been entangled in a legal dispute for three years, during which their divorce proceedings were prolonged due to the footballer’s accusations of infidelity against Gifty Gyan and his doubts regarding the paternity of their three children.
As reported by the BBC, the 37-year-old was ordered to take a DNA test which disproved his claims.
A court in Accra, Ghana ordered Gyan to gift his ex-wife, a house in the UK, another home in Accra, a petrol station and two cars.
He is also required to pay her a monthly stipend of GHC25,000 for the upkeep of their three children.
