The Edo State Caretaker Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has extended warm Good Friday wishes to Christians across the state, the country, and the world, urging reflection on the values of love, sacrifice, and unity.
In a message signed by Dr. Tony Aziegbemi, Chairman of the Edo PDP Caretaker Committee, the party described Good Friday as a time to remember the selfless sacrifice of Jesus Christ and a call to embody peace, compassion, and service to others.
“Good Friday is a powerful reminder of love, selflessness, and redemption. It teaches us the importance of compassion, unity, and unwavering faith in the face of trials. As we remember Christ’s suffering and crucifixion, let us also be inspired to live lives that reflect peace, sacrifice, and service to humanity, the message read.
The party encouraged residents to allow the lessons of Good Friday to inspire a stronger commitment to building a better and more united future.
“We urge all Edo people to use this period to pray for our state and nation—especially for unity, progress, and enduring peace. May this season strengthen our collective resolve to build a better future for all.
“Wishing you a reflective and blessed Good Friday.”
