The Akwa Ibom state Governor Pastor Umo Eno has met with the CEO of Tanic Medical Engineering Ltd, Anthony Abou Nader, in Uyo.
The meeting held on Wednesday signals the beginning of the governor’s fulfillment of his campaign’s promises to establish Akwa Ibom as a leading destination for medical tourism in Nigeria.
Governor Eno, via his twitter handle said he was pleased to announce that in fulfillment of his campaign promise, he has started the initial discussions for the establishment of the Akwa Ibom Medical City.
Describing the proposed project as a groundbreaking project that combines medical excellence and hospitality in the State, Eno, said during the engaging session, Anthony Abou Nader, the CEO of Tanic Medical Engineering Ltd, a renowned healthcare solutions provider, presented his detailed plans on the proposed project.
He said the project will create a medical and hospitality corridor between the prestigious Ibom Specialty Hospital in Uyo and the luxurious Four Point By Sheraton in Ikot Ekpene.
“I am confident that this partnership, when fully executed, will pave the way for cutting-edge healthcare advancements, economic growth, and job opportunities for our citizens,” the Governor said.
