In preparation for the upcoming Super Eagles’ Africa Cup of Nations and World Cup qualifiers, scheduled to take place in Uyo, the governor of Akwa Ibom state Pastor Umo Bassey Eno has received the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), led by their president Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau.
While hosting the team on a courtesy visit on Thursday at the Government House, Uyo. The governor who took to his official Facebook page to announce his interaction with the NFF said he assured them of Corporation of Government.
His words:
“Today, I received members of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), led by their president Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau, who paid us a courtesy visit at the Government House, Uyo.”
“The NFF team is currently in the state to inform us about the upcoming Super Eagles’ Africa Cup of Nations and World Cup qualifiers which will be hosted at the Nest of Champions in Uyo, starting next month.”
“During our discussion, I shared the news of our contract renewal with Julius Berger Plc for the ongoing maintenance of the Nest of Champions.”
“I also assured them of the unwavering cooperation and support from the Government and people of Akwa Ibom State at all times,” he said.
