Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Bassey Eno, played host to his counterparts, during the stalemate encounter between the Nigerian Super Eagles and the South African Bafana Bafana in the World Cup qualifier in Uyo.
The Governors he received include Douye Diri of Bayelsa State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, and Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State.
Also, in attendance were the Minister of Sports, Senator John Owan Eno, and the President of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF), Ibrahim Gusau, among other dignitaries.
The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Akwa Ibom state Ekerete Udoh, in some photos posted on Facebook featured Pastor Eno sitting in the middle of his colleagues celebrating Super Eagles World Cup qualifier in Uyo.
Meanwhile, many Facebook users who saw the photos said the Governor is doing well if you ask them and prayed for more grace upon his life.
But others who commented expressed disappointment over the Super Eagles’ in inability to win the match.
Reacting to the photos @Ubong Ekanem, remarked “Our dear Governor is doing well if you ask me, more grace, my wishes. And I appreciate you the Sect, keep it up please.”
Also, @Ottobong Sambo, “I congratulate H/E and his colleagues, football is sometimes unpredictable.”
@Ebobong Essien, “An enigmatic Governor God almighty bless HE GOVERNOR UMOH BASSEY ENOH.”
Again, @Amadi Eze, “So Super Eagles get mind break these governors heart. What Super Eagles can not do doesn’t exist.”
The encounter between the Nigeria Super Eagles and the South African Bafana Bafana in the World Cup qualifier in Uyo, ended in stalemate.
