The Cross River State Governor, Sen Bassey Edet Otu has Promised to give his needed attention to the Old Residency Museum in Calabar.
Otu, made the promise on Friday when he paid a working visit to the Museum.
The Governor who described the Old Residency Museum Calabar as a repository of rich knowledge said that It is one of several critical facilities that the Cross River State Government will continue to pay the attention that it deserves.
He said they must nurture and continue to pass down through the generations by their collective action in preserving their heritage.
“I had an exciting time with the curator of the Old Residency Museum Calabar about the history of slave trade and the place of Calabar in that historic travesty.”
“My government will give the much needed attention to the preservation of the facility,” Otu said.
