Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has revealed a very hectic seven-day battle in Abuja to secure his electoral victory against alleged machinations by ‘former leaders’ of Bauchi.
Speaking at a celebratory rally in the Government House, Mohammed expressed gratitude to the people of Bauchi for their trust and support, emphasizing his sleepless nights devoted to defending his mandate.
Truth Live News gathered that the governor commended President Bola Tinubu for resisting the influence of those former leaders who portrayed him as a threat. Mohammed’s remarks shed light on a political struggle that unfolded behind the scenes, where he faced orchestrated attempts to tarnish his image and sway the presidency against him.
During the rally, Mohammed highlighted the resilience of the rule of law in his case, asserting that despite the adversarial efforts, justice prevailed. Addressing the orchestrated misinformation campaign against him, the governor expressed gratitude to the federal government, President Tinubu, and the Vice President for their commitment to good governance. Mohammed emphasized that no amount of mischief or falsehoods would diminish their resolve to serve the people and uphold the rule of law.
In a powerful declaration, he stated, “Some people connived – former leaders of Bauchi – to go and perpetuate lies against me to make sure that the leadership of the nation sees me as a problem, but you can see the leaders have their ways of handling issues.” This acknowledgment underscores the political maneuvering and the governor’s resilience in the face of adversity.
