The commissioner of Directorate of Project monitoring/Audit, Chief Anthony Onoriode Ofoni of the Governor Okowa-led administration has reportedly sacked Awin Atare his media technical aid.
This is as a result of her involvement and support for the Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi while working under the administration of the People Democratic Party (PDP).
Awin was given a withdrawal letter from her appointment on 4th October 2022, and it is clearly stated that it is due to her involvement with other political matters other than the PDP.
The letter reads:
“I wish to inform you of your disengagement as special Assistant Technical aid to my office as the Delta State commissioner for project monitoring/audit”
“The decision became of necessary owning to your well published opinion on the policies and program of the Delta State Government and PDP at large, which are in contradiction to what the state Government had achieved in the last 7years”
“This disengagement is with immediate effect”
