The Cross River State Governor Sen Bassey Edet Otu, has reiterated commitment to ensure those who voted them into office have peace.
Otu stated this on Wednesday after receiving the Airforce Commander, 305 Special Mobility Group Calabar, Air Commodore Chukwuedo Iloh, in Calabar.
Gov. Otu tasked the Airforce on strengthening security In Cross River.
In addition, he called on them to support his administration’s effort at ensuring Cross Riverians have peace in their domain.
Represented by his Deputy, Rt Hon. Peter Odey, pledged his administration’s determination to make the state a no-go area for criminals.
Emmanuel Ogbeche Chief Press Secretary to the Governor via social media reported that he commended the Airforce for their sacrifices.
For instance, he told the security heads that he wants to thank them for what they have done.
Moreover, “I want to thank you all, on behalf of Cross Riverians, for what you have done and continue to do to keep residents of the state happy.”
“We will not rest on our oars to ensure that those who voted us into office have peace,” Otu promised.
Meanwhile, he has noted the peaceful and secured atmosphere in Cross River.
He said it has turned the state to an investment choice and other socio-economic development.
“Since the coming of Governor Bassey Otu, issues of security have been priority,” Commodore Chukwuedo Iloh, observed.
While informing the Governor that “now, residents can confidently move about their businesses in peace.”
Iloh said “If people are not saying it” they would announced.
“We who are key security stakeholders should say it so that the governor would be encouraged to do more.”
Commodore Iloh, pledged the Airforce’s support to the Otu-led administration’s security cause.
“We will give everything to make sure that Cross River remains peaceful and truly the people’s paradise,” he added.
