Akwa Ibom State Governor Pastor Umo Bassey Eno, has approved appointment of Mr. Aniefiok Wilson Iwaudofia, as his Senior Special Assistant on Grassroots Mobilization.
However, the appointment came as part of Eno’s determination to bring governance closer to the grassroots politicians and loyalists in the state.
In a statement signed by Ekerete Udoh, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor on Tuesday announced Iwaudofia’s appointment.
Truth Live News gathered that Mr. Iwaudofia, before his new appointment, was the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth Matters, in the past administration.
Accordingly, his appointment takes immediate effect.
Meanwhile, trending comments on social media, over the governor’s decision to appoint Mr. Iwaudofia, showed that the citizens are unsatisfied.
On Facebook where the appointment had been made Public, they complained of recycling the same 8yrs ago appointees into another new administration.
For instance, Oscom Williams, wrote in the comments section “SSA on youth matters, SSA on grassroots mobilization, all is the same.”
In addition, he asked “why not appointed someone else who has not being in the system before; is there no other one in the whole state who is competent to hold such position?….. I come in peace oooo.”
