President-elect Asiwaju Bola Tinubu joined millions of Nigerians in supporting 27-year-old Chef Hilda Baci’s Guinness World Record for Culinary.
Hilda Baci, the managing director of HildaFoods, a high-end restaurant in Lagos, took on the world record challenge, which requires her to cook for about 96 hours, taking a one-hour break every 12 hours.
The much-anticipated cooking party will began at 4 p.m on Thursday May 11, 2023 when Hilda lit up the stove and the event is slated to end on Monday, May 15, and has been streamed live via multiple social media sites and media channels. Her efforts caught the attention of many Nigerians who continue to cheer Hilda Baci and salute her tenacity and determination.
On the morning of Sunday, May 14, 2023, the former Lagos State governor shared a screenshot of Hilda Baci’s BBQ on his Instagram live story with the caption: “IDAN doesn’t break, she breaks records. We are rooting for you Hilda.”
Also, current Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-olu visited the venue where he tasted one of the delicacies, with an approval that his portion be packed up as take away for him.
Recall that Truthlivenews previously reported that Hilda Baci cooked over 110 meals within 64 hours of cooking commencement, marking a milestone on her way to the Guinness World Record. She’s currently on 70 hours, holding up to the 96th hour.
She has won the support of Nigerians from all walks of life, including food influencers, artists and celebrities, who have been flooding the culinary gathering venue since Thursday.
Hilda Baci’s friend and musician, Dremo, was a constant source of support for the her from day one, as his musical performances brought liveliness.
