Gunmen Frees Abducted Man, Daughter-In-Law In Kwara After Taking Ransom

Gunmen have freed a man along with his daughter-in-law who was abducted in Kwara State, a source close to the family told newsmen on Thursday.

This was also confirmed by spokesman for the police in the state, SP Ajayi Okasanmi.

Kazeem and his daughter-in-law were kidnapped when gunmen invaded Gaa Olobi community in the Okoolowo area of the state on Tuesday.

It was learnt that a ransom was paid to secure their release but at the time of filing this report, it had yet to confirm how much was paid as ransom.

Findings also revealed that that the kidnappers took Asalapa and his daughter-in-law as they were the ones they met when they invaded their house.

A source said the gunmen had demanded a ransom of N100 million from the family, which was negotiated downward.
