Hamas said on Saturday its militants in Gaza were ready to confront Israeli attacks with “full force” after the IDF announced it would expand ground operations in Gaza.
Truthlive news report that Israeli military spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari announced in a televised news briefing on Friday evening, that ground forces are expanding their operations tonight.
He said Israel’s air force was conducting extensive strikes on tunnels dug by Hamas and other infrastructure.
Reacting to the announcement, Hamas, in a statement, asserted, “The Al-Qassam brigades and all Palestinian resistance forces are completely prepared to resist Israel’s aggression with full force and thwart its incursions.”
They also mentioned, “Netanyahu and his defeated army will not be able to achieve any military victory,” referring to the Israeli prime minister.
This situation unfolded after Israeli ground forces had amassed outside Gaza, where Israel had been conducting a rigorous campaign of aerial bombardment since a deadly attack on October 7 by hundreds of Hamas gunmen on Israeli communities near the strip.
Israel reported a death toll of 1,400 people, mostly civilians, and more than 200 individuals taken hostage, including some foreign nationals or those with dual Israeli nationality.
