Former Chelsea and Real Madrid forward, Eden Hazard has revealed why he decided to quit from professional football.

The Belgium international said that said that he has always said that he would stop playing when he no longer have fun playing on the field.

Recall that Truth Live News had reported about the 31-year-old football maestro’s retirement from professional football last week.

Hazard had had a challenging time at Madrid due to a string of injuries.

But in his seven years at Chelsea, from 2012 to 2019, he was a revelation, amassing 110 goals and 92 assists in 352 games for the Blues in all competitions.

Along with the FA Cup and the League Cup at Chelsea, Hazard also won two Premier League championships and two Europa Leagues.

While speaking with L’Avenir in an interview, he said, “I always said that I would stop playing as soon as I no longer had fun on the field”.

“I didn’t want to go play somewhere for the money. I didn’t enjoy training… and I didn’t play anymore. The decision was simple”.
