Prince Odi Okojie who was on Saturday elected to represent Esan North-East/Esan South-East federal constituency of Edo state at the National Assembly has sent out a message of appreciation to his constituents for the mandate they have given him.
In the “Thank you” letter personally signed by the husband of Nigerian movie diva, Mercy Johnson Okojie and sent to Truth Live News, the Uromi Prince used the opportunity to first and foremost appreciate God for the victory, acknowledging the fact that victory only comes from God through the people.
The message titled, Special Appreciation To The Good People Of Esan North East/Esan Southeast Federal Constituency, reads in parts;
“My dear good people of Agbazillo,
First, we thank God Almighty for life and to Him this victory is solely dedicated. He alone made it possible for us to clinch this victory and to Him all praises and adoration be forever due.”
“I want to seize this moment of felicitations and jubilations to thank all of you members of our constituency(Esan North-East and South-East Federal Constituency) who against all odds came out enmasse to cast your votes and also made sure your votes counted”.
“For the first time in my political journey, I am appalled by the show of love, support, commitment and willingness of a people so desiring of new hopes, a better representation and higher expectations of positive leadership that brings nothing short of quality dividends of democracy and this I have assured and will surely deliver, so help me God.”
While vowing to make his constituents proud at the National Assembly when inaugurated, he assured them that he won’t let them down.
It reads: “From the old to the middle aged and to the young people who conducted yourselves in civil manner to exercise your civic duties to vote for me, I have this to tell you all, You will not be disappointed”
“May I also use this medium to extend a hand of fellowship to you all on the other side, politics is never going to divide us, I am open to an all-inclusive leadership whether you voted for me or not. “
“We are all one family as constituents, this victory is for us all and you are all welcomed with your ideas and suggestions as to how best to move our constituency forward to greater heights.”
He promised to work for everyone irrespective of their political affiliations
