Cristiano Ronaldo, a former Manchester United forward, has thanked former manager Sir Alex Ferguson for putting him in the right spot.
Ronaldo also thanked Ferguson for taking him under his wing at the age of 18.
The Portugal captain first joined Manchester United from Sporting CP in 2003.
Under Ferguson’s tutelage, the Al-Nassr forward began his journey to become one of the greatest players of this generation.
“So the boss [Ferguson], he was the leader, was the guy which every player followed him, his ideas, his strategy. For me, as I say many, many times, he is one of my fathers of football that when I arrived here in Manchester at 18, he put me in the right spot.
“He teaches me many things about where I am today. It is a little bit of part of him as well. So I appreciate what he did with me,” Ronaldo told LiveScore.
