Governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, for Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Uno Bassey Eno, has cried out over the existence of a Facebook account in his name.
The pastor says that he has no Facebook account and would readily notify the public when he is ready to have one.
“I am completely unaware of any Facebook page in my name neither have authorized any one to open one in my name,” Pastor Eno told Truthlive.net.
He further appealed to the general public who may have been misled by the nefarious acts of the persons behind the Facebook accounts, noting that he will let everyone know if he chooses to have an official social media account.
“My attention has been called by some friends and supporters about the activities on the Facebook page using my name, I wish to use this media to state once more that I have not instructed anyone to open any Facebook page or account in my name and the public should kindly ignore any of such for now, until I officially make one available”, the PDP governorship hopeful asserted.
With political season revving up ahead of 2023 general election, accounts in the name of known political galdiators have been springing up with some being denied, outright.
Only recently, Yusuf Ahmed Datti, running mate of the Labour Party, LP presidential candidate, Peter Obi, also publicly denied having any social media handle as yet.
