Hundreds of former members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Labour Party (LP) in Ward 2, Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area, have defected to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
The new members declared their unwavering support for PDP candidates Asue Ighodalo and Osarodion Ogie, expressing admiration for the AiO² brand.
The defectors praised the PDP as the most democratic party in Edo State and Nigeria, emphasizing the competence and leadership of Ighodalo and Ogie. “We are very proud to associate with PDP/AiO², we will do all within our powers to mobilize for the party and her candidates,” they stated. They were given party cards and committed to defending the PDP’s ideals in their Ward.
The new PDP members expressed strong determination to work for the party before, during, and after the September election. “We are ready to work for AiO², we believe in the capacity of the duo, we appreciate the democratic posture of the PDP, we are happy to be here and will go all out to win more souls for the party and the Candidates before, during and after the election,” they declared.
The event saw the new members decorated with PDP/AiO² materials and received by the Vice Chairman of Ikpoba-Okha Local Government, Hon. Osamuyi Idehen, the Director General of the LGA campaign council, Pst. Blessed Ighiwiyisi, and other council members. “AiO² victory is sure,” the new members added confidently.
