The PDP gubernatorial candidate Barr Asue Ighodalo and his deputy Barr Osarodion Ogie were present at the book launch and ceremony of the St Peter’s Anglican Church.
The August event was the first session of the 11th synod themed ‘ Church Social Responsibility to the Society: An assessment of the church of God in Nigeria.
Truth Live News gathered that the teeming congregants were over awed and ecstatic to have Asue Ighodalo and his retinue of dignitaries that accompanied him.
The ceremony was overseen by His Lordship Rt Rev Augustine E Ohilebo the bishop of the diocese.
The clergies present prayed for the governorship hopeful for protection and for victory in the upcoming Edo State gubernatorial election.
They assured him of their support and asked that he still remains close to the people when he wins.
