In a surprising turn of events, the Edo APC Chairman, Jarret Tenebe, has kicked against the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) decision to extend the timeline for collecting Permanent Voter’s Cards (PVCs) in Edo State.
Tenebe made his stance known at the Edo stakeholders meeting held in Edo State, where he vehemently opposed the extension of the PVC collection timeline.
However, INEC Chairman was quick to overrule Tenebe’s objection, paving the way for the extension of the PVC collection timeline in Edo State.
This development was made available to Truth Live News, and it is seen as a significant move by INEC to ensure that all eligible voters in Edo State have the opportunity to collect their PVCs and participate in the upcoming gubernatorial election.
The extension of the PVC collection timeline is expected to boost voter turnout and ensure a credible election in Edo State. Despite the APC Chairman’s objection, INEC remains committed to conducting a free and fair election in the state.
More details on this development will be provided later.
