The Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), formerly known as Jamā’at Ahl as-Sunnah lid-Da’wah wa’l-Jihād says it is responsible for an attack on a police checkpoint in Edo State.
ISWAP while disclosing this in a post said that during the attack which took place yesterday, September 22, 2022, it killed police officer.
Meanwhile, a similar attack had occured in Ondo a few hours ago for which the group also claimed responsibility.
