Bendel Insurance Football Club of Benin will be locking horns with El-Kanemi Warriors tomorrow (Saturday, April 22) in the week 15 of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) at the popular Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, in Benin City, Edo State.
The Group A leaders will be looking to sustain their new found form of invincibility in the revised fixture.
Recall that the Benin Arsenals pipped the warriors 1-0 before their home fans in the first round in Maiduguri.
The only goal of the match was scored by Deputy Echeta in the 32nd minute.
Insurance FC in week 14 encounter with Remo Stars on Sunday, came back from a goal down to level up through their star Midfielder Divine Nwachukwu’s equalizing goal, four minutes after Kwame Mawuna had scored for Remo Stars in the 16th minute.
The Divine vital away goal saved the day at Ikenne in the week 14 encounter on Sunday.
The brilliant midfielder Nwachukwu and their pacy striker Imade Osarenkhoe have both promised Insurance FC fans total victory against visiting El-Kanemi Warriors this weekend to further extend their lead in group A.
Insurance FC have neither lost nor won any match out of the five matches so far played since the resumption of the second round of the league.
Beside that, with four matches to the end of the regular NPFL season, Insurance FC still lead the group of champions with 28 points, four points clear of former CAF champions Enyimba International FC who moved to second position on the log after their away win over Kwara Utd in week 14.
Meanwhile, Bendel Insurance FC and their Feeders will be representing Edo state in the Federation Cup round of 64 scheduled to hold on Wednesday, April 26 at different centers across the nation.
While the NPFL group A leaders will be playing host to ABS of Ilorin in Lagos by 2:00 PM, their Feeders team will be warming up to trade tackles with NLO1 side Maikunkele FC of Niger state in Lokoja, Kogi State. Kick off time is 4:00PM.
The Benin Arsenals reached the the round of 16 while their Feeders fought to the round of 32 in the Federation Cup last season.
In the ongoing NPFL-LALIGA U-15 Promise at Ikenne, Insurance Under 15 Feeders exited the youth league
after recording one loss and two draws in the group stage.
Enyimba and Wilki Tourists under 15 teams made it to the quarter finals from the group C which had Insurance and Dakkada FC.
