Izon Popular Music Icon Chief Barrister Smooth, 5 Others, Die In Auto Crash

Tragedy has again struck in the entertainment industry. At this time, it is not the make believe industry but the music industry as five crew members of the Izon music legend, Chief Barrister Smooth, alias Paddle of the Niger Delta, have been reportedly dead in an auto crash, leaving a sour taste in the mouths of the music lovers, especially the Izon extraction.

 

It was gathered that the five crew members lost their lives on their ways to Abuja to perform at the swearing-in reception of National Assembly members.

 

The Paddle of the Niger Delta Band was said to have been hired by a state government to perform at the function.

 

The crew was said to have boarded a train from Delta State to Itakpe in Kogi State, and thereafter boarded two Siena vehicles and was heading to the FCT when one of the Siena convening seven persons involved in the accident.

 

Five crew members were said to have died in the accident around Gwagwalada, Abuja.

 

Members of the band who lost their lives include Joseph Ekeremieye (alias Egberiegbolo-emi), Ekisima Brown also known as Niger Delta Music Queen, Tuku Eniekebi (keyboardist), Appah who is a serving Local Government Councillor from Patani, one of the dancers of the Band and one other.
