JD Vance Defends Trump Administration’s Deportation of Maryland Father

The US Vice President has justified the deportation of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a Maryland father, to a torture dungeon in El Salvador, citing his alleged ties to the MS-13 gang.

According to JD Vance, Garcia was a convicted MS-13 gang member with no legal right to be in the US.

Vance responded to criticism from Jon Favreau, a former director of speechwriting for Barack Obama, who condemned the Trump administration’s actions.

Favreau’s post stated, “You just admitted to accidentally sending an innocent father from Maryland to a torture dungeon in El Salvador. And you refuse to do anything about it.”

Vance countered that it’s “gross to get fired up about gang members getting deported while ignoring the citizens they victimize.”

The Trump administration admitted in a court filing that Garcia was “mistakenly” deported to El Salvador, but claimed US courts lack jurisdiction to order his return.

Garcia, a Maryland father, had protected legal status in the US before being deported.
