Serving Minister and spokesman for the presidential campaign council of All Progressives Congress, APC, standard bearer Bola Tinubu, barely hours after vowing to drag former vice president, Atiku Abubakar to court made good his threat by filing petition to two antigraft agencies asking them to invite or arrest and prosecute Atiku who is standard bearer for the People Democratic Party, PDP in next month election.
Keyamo, during an interview on Arise TV on Monday, said the former vice president must answer to the corruption allegations leveled against them.
According to him, the administration led by Atiku and his former boss Olusegun Obasanjo can never be compared to that of President Muhammadu Buhari, the man he is serving as minister.
In a document with letter head from the minister’s law chamber, Keyamo is asking both Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC and the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, ICPC, to arrest Atiku over alleged cases of breaches against code of conduct for public officers, Offences of money laundering, offenses of criminal breach of Trust and criminal misappropriation and Offences of conspiracy.
Date on said petition document is Monday, 16, and the minister is asking the egencies to act in 72 hours.
