Calabar Power Plant guts fire in the mid-day of Sunday 4th of September, 2022.
In a video showing the blast happening, a person whose voice was in the video background was heard reporting the development
He said, “This so happening right now at power plant in Apa Road, the power plant just blew up right now and it’s setting the whole place ablaze.”
The Calabar Plant is an open cycle gas turbine power plant built to accomodate future conversion to combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) configuration.
