Just In: Court Remand Suspended AGF, 2 Others In Prison Custody

A federal High Court sitting in Abuja on Friday directed that suspended Accountant General of the Federation (AGF), Ahmed Idris be kept in prison custody until his bail application is approved.

Idris alongside his alleged accomplices -Godfrey Olusegun Akindele and Mohammed Kudu Usman who were accused of diverting about N109billion public funds on appearance in court pleaded not guilty two a 14-count charge levelled against them.

The presiding judge, Justice J. O. Adeyemi-Ajayi thus ordered that they be remanded in prison custody until the court is able to make decisions on their bail applications.
