JUST IN: Edo Gubernatorial Candidate Suspended By Ward Members

Edo state gubernatorial candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) Pastor Azemhe Azena has been suspended by his ward 10 executive members in Etsako East Local Government Area of Edo State.

The letter of the suspension of Pastor Azemhe Azena was seen by journalists in Benin City after the letter was handed over to the state chairman of the party and well acknowledged by the party.

The letter was signed by the Ward 10 chairman of the party in Etsako East Local government area of Edo state, Hon Kadiri Eshimokha, Secretary Comrade lmonikho Abdul, woman leader, Mrs Stella Afebua and youth leader, Comrade Eshiobo Johnson.

The letter spelt out reasons for the suspension of Pastor Azemhe Azena from the NNPP to include gross misconduct, disregard for party plans and Anti party activities.

Truth Live News learnt that copies of the suspension letter have been sent to the national chairman of the party, Edo state chairman, Edo North vice chairman and Etsako East Local Government chapter leader.

Also served with copies of the suspension letter, are South- South vice chairman, national chairman of Independent Electoral Commission (lNEC) and Edo State Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC)of INEC.

In his reaction, the NNPP governorship candidate in Edo state, Pastor Azemhe Azena, described the suspension statement as fake and inconsequential.

He said the authentic ward 10 chairman of NNPP, Etsako East Local Government chapter, Mr Goddy lyamah has since refuted the claim to be false as other persons whose names appeared in the suspension letter are not members of the party.
