Fire broke out at the Conoil filling station located in Area 10, Abuja on Saturday, December 10th.
According to an eyewitness, Ette Samson, a graphic designer at the UTC Area 10 market, the incident started around 3:53pm.
He says, “The fire started from the storage of the filling station, the whole facility has been burnt down. In fact we are stranded at the moment as the area has been sealed off”.
He further advised residents to stay away from that axis.
The station shares the same fence with Abuja Municipal Area Council, AMAC, and is a stone’s throw away from Cyprian Ekwensi Center for Arts and Culture.
Following the incident, there is heavy traffic in Area 10 and its environs.
