Petrol price has risen to N617 per litre. NNPC-operated fuel stations have raised their fuel prices from N539 to N617 per litre.
A tour around the Abuja metropolis by our correspondents revealed that private markets as at 8am this morning, have also increased their pump prices to N617 to N620, depending on the location.
The immediate cause for this increment could not be determined. However, there has been talks that the price of petrol may soon reach N700 per litre.
The Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NDMPRA) have not yet responded to this development.
