Governor Bassey Edet Otu of Cross River State has Imposed a dusk to dawn curfew in Akpabuyo and Bakassi Local government areas South south Nigeria.
The curfew which is starting today Monday July 3, 2023, is from 7:p.m to 6:a.m each day.
The secretary to the state government Prof Anthony Owan-Eno said this in a statement dated July 3, with reference number SSG/GSA/102/VOL.VI/205 and made available to newsmen in Calabar.
Eno said the curfew was to ensure safety of lives and properties as well as forestall the breakdown of law and orders, following recent security threat in Akpabuyo and Bakassi LGAs.
“Accordingly, movement of people and vehicles would be restricted during these hours,”the statement said the public is therefore advised for their own interest to adhere to these directives.
