Unknown gunmen have abducted Aminu Abdullahi, a resident of Zawachiki Quarters in Kumbotso Local Government Area of Kano State, on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at approximately 11:30 a.m.
According to security sources, “the police received the report at about 7:45 a.m. on Sunday, after which the Divisional Police Officer of Kumbotso led a patrol team to the scene.”
The swift response followed reports of hoodlums storming the area, targeting Abdullahi in a calculated attack.
Sources further revealed that “the statement of the victim’s son, who witnessed the incident, had been obtained to aid investigation,” providing critical leads for the ongoing probe.
The Kumbotso Police Division is actively investigating, with efforts focused on tracking down the perpetrators and securing Abdullahi’s safe release.
The incident has sparked fear among residents, who are calling for increased security measures to prevent further abductions in the area.
