The National Assembly has postponed the resumption of plenary.
The resumption was originally scheduled for Tuesday, January 23rd, but has been shifted to the 30th of this month.
The National Assembly adjourned plenary on December 30th, 2023, after the passage of the N28.7 trillion budget for the 2024 financial year.
However, it has extended its New Year break by one week, moving the resumption date from January 23rd to 30th of this month.
This was disclosed in a notice to lawmakers in the Green Chamber by the Clerk of the House of Representatives, Dr. Yahaya Danzaria.
The notice reads: “I am directed to inform Hon Members that the resumption date for both the Senate and House of Representatives has been shifted from Tuesday, 23rd January 2024 (as earlier announced) to Tuesday, 30th January 2024, at 11:00 am prompt. All inconveniences are regretted.”
