Nationwide blackout looms in Nigeria as National Union of Electricity Employees, Nigeria Union of Petroleum And Gas Workers, National Association of Nigeria Nurses And Midwives, Non-Academic Staff Union Of Educational and Associated Institutions, and other Unions issue notice of strike to their Members.
Recall that the Nigeria Labour Congress NLC and the Trade Union Congress TUC unanimously declared a nationwide, indefinite and total strike from Tuesday October 3rd, 2023, over Federal Government’s “nonchalant attitude” and refusal to take steps to abate the sufferings of Nigerians, following the removal of fuel subsidy.
Following the announcement of the planned strike, individual unions have responded to their body, by sending their members, memos regarding the strike action.
