President-elect Donald Trump has signed two executive orders on Monday, one recognizing only two biological sexes, male and female, and another ending diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs inside federal agencies.

The orders are part of the incoming Trump administration’s “restoring sanity” agenda.

The first order is directed at requiring the federal government to use the term “sex” instead of “gender” and ensure that official documents, such as passports and visas, reflect sex accurately.

It will also prevent taxpayer funds from being used for gender-transition health care and add “privacy in intimate spaces” in facilities like prisons and shelters.

The second order seeks to end “radical and wasteful” DEI programs and preferencing inside the federal government.

Truth Live News gathered that the new administration also plans to hold monthly meetings with key agencies to assess and dismantle DEI programs, including environmental justice programs and equity-related grants.

These orders are consistent with Trump’s campaign promises to roll back protections for transgender and nonbinary people and end DEI initiatives, which he and conservatives have characterized as discriminatory.

However, proponents of DEI argue that these initiatives are essential for promoting racial and social inclusivity in institutions.
