The Edo State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have slated 10th February for their national delegate congress.
In a memo released by the party which was signed by Tony Anenih Jr., the State Organizing Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), outlined the National Delegate Congress.
The Congress which is expected to be a pivotal moment in the party’s internal affairs is set for February 10, 2024.
The Congress would be held at Local Government Area Collation Centers around the state, strictly adhering to the scheduled timetable beginning at 10 am, according to the memo signed by the State party’s secretary.
Important requirements for participation include being one of the three Ad-Hoc Delegates who won the previous ward Congresses, which took place throughout the 192 wards of the state on February 4, 2024.
Truth Live News reports that Anenih also stressed the significance of adhering to protocol by stressing the requirement of presenting party cards in addition to voter identification for accreditation. To ensure electoral openness, the list of eligible delegates to be prominently displayed at local government Collation Centers.
The memo has a significant statement stating that there will be no Congress held in Etsako Central, albeit no specific explanation for this exclusion was given.
