The Ondo state Police division has confirmed the arrest of Pastor Anifowose David, of The Whole Bible Deliverance Church, for allegedly kidnapping about 50 persons including children in Ondo town of Ondo State, South-West Nigeria.
The clergyman was arrested following complaints made by some parents at the Ondo Town Divisional Station of the Command. The children were kept in the basement of the church building and numbered over fifty.
State police spokesperson, Funmilayo Odunlami said the Command is still investigating the matter and will follow sure process in handling the matter.
She confirmed that the police have arrested the pastor and some members of the church in connection with the incident. Odunlami added that the police also rescued the persons who were allegedly abducted by the pastor.
