JUST IN: Prof. Of Maths Fails Labour Party In Court On Over Voting Claims

Prof. Eric Ofuegbu, a Professor of mathematics hired by the Labour Party to analyze the February 25, 2023 presidential election’s results at the ongoing tribunal has been reportedly failed his Labour Party in Court.

Before the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal held on Friday in Abuja Prof. Ofuegbu, who is said to have been called to present election results analysis said he had only analyzed reports from two states.

The two states from which their results he had analyzed were Benue and Rivers where the Versity Don said Labour Party argued that they recorded massive over-voting that affected the overall result of the February 25, 2023 presidential election.

AIT reported that Ofuegbu, who claimed to have not been paid for the research he did on the results from the two states, said he relied on the data from the INEC result viewing portal for his analysis.

He said based on his collation and mathematical tabulation, there were cases of massive over voting in the Rivers and Benue states.

Truth Live News gathered that during cross examination by INEC’s lead counsel Abubakar Mahmoud, Prof.Ofuegbu, was presented with a copy of the presidential election result sheet from polling unit 002, in Degema, Rivers state.

The result sheet showed that 40 persons were accredited and 40 persons voted in that polling unit.

The INEC’s lawyer said that the equal number of accredited voters and the same number of persons who voted have contradicted the professor’s claim of over voting.

When he was asked why he choose Rivers and Benue states as his main areas of interest,he said “it was just random.”

“I was limited by time,” Prof. Ofuegbu, said when he was further asked whether an analysis of election results from just two states was enough to make conclusions.
