Some personnel of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) have reportedly been killed in an ambush in Birnin Gwari, Kaduna State.
Report says unspecified number of vigilantes and a policeman were also killed in the ambush, Dateline Nigeria learnt.
The victims were reportedly taken to the mortuary of Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital in Kaduna, not too far from the NSCDC Kaduna command.
A Dateline Nigeria reporter observed that the Kaduna State NSCDC commandant, Idris Yahya Adah and other senior officers of the corps were at the hospital.
The Police are yet to respond to the incident as of Press time.
