Newly inaugurated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has picked Femi Gbajabiamila, the outgoing Speaker of the House of Representatives, as his Chief of Staff (CoS).
Gbajabiamila, whose term as Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives expires later this month, will be the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria’s Chief of Staff.
With this development, Rt. Hon. Gbajabiamila would have to relinquish his re-election to the House of Representatives by Surulere Federal Constituency of Lagos State on February 25th in order to take up the new assignment, while INEC is anticipated to hold a fresh election in that constituency.
