President Bola Tinubu is currently meeting with former Niger Delta leader Alhaji Asari Dokubo In Aso Rock.
As of the time of filing in this report, the purpose of the meeting is yet to be made public.
Asari Dokubo who earlier faulted the award of the multi-million naira oil pipelines surveillance contract to Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo popularly known as Tompolo by the Muhammadu Buhari led government is believed to likely to be part of the President’s ongoing consultations with opinion leaders from the Niger Delta region.
Truth Live News recalls that President Bola Tinubu vowed to bring an end to crude oil theft in the country.
Similarly, Tinubu had also met with other key figures from the region, including former Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Chief Timi Alaibe and Dr Dakuku Peterside, former Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA).
