The Kaduna State House of Assembly has established a committee to scrutinize the financial activities of the state during Nasir el-Rufai’s tenure as governor.
This committee is mandated to assess loans, grants, and project execution from 2015 to 2023.
Henry Zacharia, chairman of the House Committee on Information, confirmed this initiative, stating that the eight-member committee was formed during the Tuesday plenary to investigate the state’s financial transactions under the former governor.
It could be recalled that Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State recently disclosed that his administration was not finding it easy to run the affairs of the state due to the huge debt profile incurred by the past administration of Nasir El-Rufai.
